I love being a nanny/babysitter because each child is unique to themselves. Some kids are talkative, energetic, and the complete opposite of shy; then there are others who stay to themselves, quiet, and don’t open up as quickly. Either way I’m always intrigued to learn their personalities and watch them grow up into their own person. I also love teaching and watch their confidence grow from the more knowledge they learn, and I am not shy to having to come up with unique ways to teach because of my nearly year experience in ABA therapy. Working as a behavior technician for kids with autism has taught me that not all children learn the textbook definition way and has allowed me to be creative in the different methods I have picked up. I am also a very energetic person so I am always up for a fun adventure whether that’s the park, getting ice cream, going shopping, etc. However I do reinforce getting chores/work done first!
