In October 2023 I was a short term paraprofessional in an autism classroom with children ages 2.5-4.5. I have worked for various families with children ranging in age from 6 months to 12 years. Note: I currently am not licensed. I have had a permit for the last few years but haven't taken the road test. I am planning on taking it in the next few months. When babysitting close family, I do walk with the children to stores or take Uber/Metro to farther away destinations. I am willing on taking children on adventures with proper consent and paperwork from the parents. I am also red cross safe swim certified. Hi! I’m Savannah, a junior political science and psychology major at OU. I'm going to be studying abroad in New Zealand this fall! Meaning I'll be moving to Kalamazoo for a couple months before the move (September-November) and would love to offer some help to those in the area! My passion for childcare began with the care of my little brother, who’s quickly become my best friend and continues to inspire every day. That experience encouraged me to pursue a job in early childhood education as a preschool teacher. While I am no longer one, the skills earned from that are ones I continue to utilize today.
