Hi, my name is Bridget. I’m a mom of three and caring for children has always been one of the most important parts of my life. Being a parent has taught me patience, responsibility, and how important it is for children to feel safe, supported, and understood. I know how much trust it takes for parents to leave their children with someone, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I have extensive hands-on caregiving experience, including helping care for my stepson who has autism and epilepsy. Through that experience, I’ve learned how to provide close supervision, maintain structured routines, and support children with different needs, personalities, and communication styles. I’m comfortable helping with daily routines like meals, playtime, bedtime, homework, and keeping kids engaged in positive activities. I first became a certified babysitter when I was about 10 years old. I started with babysitting my cousins who are 10 and 7 years younger than I am. Once I learned the ropes I began working with my church nursery, Sunday school, and parents night out (a night where parents drop their children off at church and we babysit in class sizes of up to 15 children each). Later I started working summer camps for kids at church. I have taken care of new-born babies as well as toddlers, children, pre-teens, and teenagers solely by myself. For three years I helped out at my aunts daycare in Shakopee, Mel's Monkeys in the summer time. I love babies and younger children but am certainly happy to work with kids of all ages. I am willing to drive where needed, help with homework and chores, watch/take care of pets as well, work weekends and I am also willing to stay over night if needed and given enough of an advance notice. I work full time as an administrative sales assistant but I have loved taking care of kids for as long as I can remember. I also welcomed my own little munchkin a year ago, so I learned all the ins and outs of parenting firsthand.
