My experience with children starts at age 7 when my little sister was born. I took on the role of a second mother to her, tending to her needs by changing diapers, giving her baths, feeding her, and putting her to bed. All together I have 6 younger siblings. At 16 I began working with teens and young children with special needs in their homes. Shortly after I received my associates I began working in center base level 3 EBD children. After having my two daughters I saw an opportunity to be with them and work with children. I received my bachelor's in psychology and starting working at a licensed childcare Montessori, as an infant teacher. After a year and a half I realized I had a real passion for leadership. ***I live in Denver, CO, I’m from MN and I cannot change my location*** I was a full time nanny for over two years and cared for 4 different children during that time. My first family with an infant moved to the suburbs and then I was with my second family with their infant. That turned into a nanny share with their next door neighbors who also had an infant. Then one family moved and the other one had another baby. My contract ended in December and I’ve seen the family multiple times since we cultivated such a good relationship. I was CPR and First Aid certified in January 2022. I have babysat since I was 12 years old from watching kids for date nights, being a mother's helper, and even overnight stays. I have watched large groups of kids for volunteer experiences with other people and I also taught kids how to swim as small as toddlers.
