In addition to caregiving, she completed whatever tasks that were requested, particularly light housework and laundry. Most importantly, Heidi cared a great deal for our son and he loved her. He was always eager to see her, talk to her, and play with her, from his earliest moments of being able to express these emotions. We have four older children as well and Heidi was always willing to help care for them if they had to stay home from school with a cold or illness. I did volunteer work in the church. For 3 years I took care of children of all ages at church. Babies from 6 months to 1 year, and children from 2 to 10 years. With the babies, I helped take care of them by giving them bottles, changing their diapers and putting them to sleep. When they were awake, they played games to stimulate the baby's skills, such as painting, playing Legos or watching cartoons on TV. With the older children I did activities that also stimulate their development, such as drawing and painting, playful games, I gave them snacks and was always there to give them all the support they needed, and it was really cool, because at the same time I taught them, I also learned from them. to be patient and empathetic and to understand their needs.

My first family with an infant moved to the suburbs and then I was with my second family with their infant. That turned into a nanny share with their next door neighbors who also had an infant. Then one family moved and the other one had another baby. My contract ended in December and I’ve seen the family multiple times since we cultivated such a good relationship. I was CPR and First Aid certified in January 2022. I have babysat since I was 12 years old from watching kids for date nights, being a mother's helper, and even overnight stays.
