I am currently studying Early Childhood Education online at Grand Canyon University to further my career as a toddler teacher. While earning my degree, I am working full time running my own classroom teaching two year olds basic vocabulary, numbers, concepts, and skills in a play-based but academically motivated learning environment. I previously also led the Junior Preschool class at Mother's Day Out, and before that I co-taught in the Twos room and Threes room at Kids Unlimited Daycare and Preschool in Jefferson City. Teaching and working with kids has been my passion as long as I can remember. In high school, I worked as a volleyball coach at HEAT Volleyball Club in Wisconsin, coaching the VolleySeeds program that worked with kids aged 4-9, as well as assistant coaching the 15s and 12s teams. I've also been babysitting since I was 15 years old. Hi! My name is Caitlyn and I just graduated Nursing school at Mizzou in the Accelerated program and have moved back to Chicago! I have worked and volunteered my entire life both with older children and younger ones as well. I used to volunteer at the library helping out with the Summer Reading Challenge in Chicago at one of the libraries and absolutely loved being able to help children learn how to talk about their books and give them advice on new books to read. I also volunteered at two organizations for a refugee children in Columbia taking care of children and helping them learn to read, play with them and help them do their homework while their parents learned English.
