Hi! My name is Charlotte Perkins and I am a 19 year old college student at the University of Utah and living on campus. I was born here originally but have lived in Whitefish, Montana for most of my life and I have absolutely loved being a babysitter. I am a joyful and playful person and part of the reason I love babysitting kids is because I feel as if they effortlessly possess those qualities. I can also understand why they can frustrated and know how to deal with big emotions from kids. More to an that, as a student majoring in psychology and aspiring to become a therapist one day, I have become interested in childhood development and how the effects of a child’s role models have on them. It made me realize that the babysitters in many instances I had growing up had profound effects on me as a growing and curious child. I would love to be that person that a kid learns and grows from. I have been a babysitter for multiple families in my life and I am skilled in finding activities to do away from screen time and having continuous high energy. Last summer I worked full time as a summer camp counselor with 5-12 year olds for 9 hours a day. I have also taken care of infants and toddlers multiple times as well, as I am routinely a daycare substitute. I am CPR and first aid certified and I have a car I am willing to use for transportation and errands if nessacary. I am a huge lover of learning and helping out with homewowrk and school as well! I also have a pretty flexible schedule!

Hello! My name is Emma Anderson and I recently moved to the Kalispell area from Washington State. I am 25 years old and have nearly a decade of childcare experience working with children of all ages, from infancy through pre-teens. My passion has always been caring for babies and toddlers, but I am more than happy to work with any age group. My childcare journey began at age 16 in the infant and toddler program at the YMCA, where I cared for children primarily ranging from 6 weeks old to 3 years old. In this role, I was responsible for transporting children from daycares/foster homes to their court-ordered family visits while ensuring their safety and well-being. I supervised visits between children and their parents, built meaningful connections with the families, and provided support during what was often a very challenging time in their lives. This position gave me extensive experience caring for children of all ages, managing challenging behaviors and emotions, maintaining routines, and creating a stable and positive environment. It was incredibly rewarding work and I am excited to continue supporting a family here in Montana. Being outdoors is a HUGE passion of mine and one of the main reasons my partner and I moved to Montana. I spend much of my free time hiking, and would love to incorporate outdoor play, nature walks, park visits, and other enriching activities into my childcare approach. I am Car Seat certified, as well as CPR & First Aid certified, and can provide a clean background check and driving record. Additionally, I am a non-smoke and rarely partake in drinking in my free time, as I have watched first hand the effects of drug abuse and addition through my work with foster kids and their families.
