My mother worked full time when I was growing up so I was at a babysitter’s all throughout the week, sometimes even on the weekends. I stayed at this babysitter’s for over 12 years of my life. I learned so much about children here. I learned how to take care of infants, toddlers, and older children. I’m good with calming children down. I try to understand the child so that we can build a bond. I know what it’s like to have a stranger babysitting you, and it isn’t comforting. So I want the child I’m babysitting to know me, as well as, I want to get to know them. I absolutely adore children, even when I’m changing their diaper or chasing them around the house to put their shoes and jacket on, the feeling never fades!
