I plan to get my CPR and First Aid but I am open to jobs not requiring it until I can get it. I love dogs, cats, and small animals like rabbits so I can do some pet care as well.

My mother worked full time when I was growing up so I was at a babysitter’s all throughout the week, sometimes even on the weekends. I stayed at this babysitter’s for over 12 years of my life. I learned so much about children here. I learned how to take care of infants, toddlers, and older children. I’m good with calming children down. I try to understand the child so that we can build a bond. I know what it’s like to have a stranger babysitting you, and it isn’t comforting. So I want the child I’m babysitting to know me, as well as, I want to get to know them. I absolutely adore children, even when I’m changing their diaper or chasing them around the house to put their shoes and jacket on, the feeling never fades! I’d also like to point out that I am extremely mature for my age, 18. I became a babysitter because children are some of the greatest people around. It is also neat to see them take in and explore their world Children are also very carefree and kind. But for me, I could not see myself trading places either. I started babysitting at thirteen years of age in Saudi Arabia when my family was stationed there. I babysat all through high school. In my early twenties I took a substitute teachers course and began subbing for Cumberland County Schools in Fayetteville, NC. Then in my mid twenties after orientation I began to substitute for the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools in Winston -Salem, NC. I also have worked in over 45 daycares as a substitute daycare worker for Work Family Resource, associated with Smart Start. They trained is for three days with state personnel. They also required that we take various continuing education classes at the local community colleges.

While new to professional child care I have a genuine passion for caring for children , I have experience babysitting my niece and nephews. I provided help with transportation of kids to school, events, etc. Also helped with meal prep, house keeping, and pet care.

I ve worked for Corporate Daycares and also private Daycares. Working with children is my passion. There are no words that describes the feeling of watching an infant develop into a young toddler, older toddler and preschooler. It an unreal experience. As a teacher with my co teachers we created a safe fun educational(age appropriate) activities to do through the week. They had monthly themes. We worked on monthly.
