I've worked with kids in one way or another since 2008. My main reason for making myself available on this platform is to help parents of children with special needs find reliable, worry-free child care. Having worked in the Behavioral Therapy (ABA) world for over a decade, I know how hard it can be to find child care for a kiddo with atypical behaviors; and that it's against the rules for most companies who provide therapy services to also provide babysitting. My experience includes: Autism, ADHD, ODD, Down Syndrome, OCD, anxiety, dyslexia, dysgraphia, aggression, sensory processing, deaf/hearing impaired, learning disabilities, and children in need of general behavioral shaping. I am a Certified Behavior Technician, semi-fluent in ASL (American sing language), NC Early Educator Certified, and CPR/First Aid trained. I am a mom of two and work in a local charter school. I foster meaningful engagement and healthy child development.
