I've worked with kids in one way or another since 2008. My main reason for making myself available on this platform is to help parents of children with special needs find reliable, worry-free child care. Having worked in the Behavioral Therapy (ABA) world for over a decade, I know how hard it can be to find child care for a kiddo with atypical behaviors; and that it's against the rules for most companies who provide therapy services to also provide babysitting. My experience includes: Autism, ADHD, ODD, Down Syndrome, OCD, anxiety, dyslexia, dysgraphia, aggression, sensory processing, deaf/hearing impaired, learning disabilities, and children in need of general behavioral shaping. I am a mom of two and work in a local charter school. I foster meaningful engagement and healthy child development. I have a genuine love for children and my greatest goal is to create healthy environments for children to thrive in. Over the past decade+, I have worked with various families in the Asheville area with children ages 1-15. Currently, I am babysitting on an as needed basis. I am also available to help the families I sit for in other ways with overnight sitting and house/pet sitting as needed.
