I love working with children because you get to experience their creative, energetic personalities while watching them grow as individuals. The experience I have over the years is watching children of family friends and my own family's children. What sets me apart is that I do plan on being a mother in the future so I would ensure to take care of anyone’s children like I would my own. I started working with children when I was 17. My first experience was working for a daycare center, and I worked there for two and a half years. I started as a floater, but then I became a part-time teacher for K-2 and 3-year-old kids. I then went to another daycare and I worked with 1 to 2-year-old children. After the daycare experience, I decided to be a nanny and made a career out of it. I have 23.5 years of experience working with children. I am a 43 year-old woman with a 11 year-old daughter, who is very loving, caring, responsible and loves to grow a strong friendship with the family especially with the child/children. Hi! I am a former teacher and I am transitioning into a career in music therapy. I was a pre-k instructional assistant and worked with about 15 kids on a daily basis, some with special needs. For the last two and a half years, I was an elementary school music teacher. Teaching every student in the school allowed me to gain experience in dealing with various personalities and needs. My priority is for children to feel heard, safe, and cared for. I love to read books aloud, sing songs, and teach through play. I am also a huge animal lover so if you have furbabies, great!

If I were to babysit, I would need to know in advance when, where, and for how long. We have a female Jack Russell Terror named Nala. She's about 9 pounds. So, I'm accustomed to pets. I have a clean criminal background. Never been in trouble with the law. I'm used to the parents having their house rules hangup so that everyone knows the rules. I'm used to two kids max. I'm used to meal prep if it's something small and doesn't require much cooking. The parents have the kitchen fully stocked for light meals, snacks, sodas, cookies, crackers, chocolates, hummus, etc. I'm used to having the bedtime routine hung up so that the kids and I know when bedtime is (8:00 p.m on school nites usually, and 10:00 p.m on weekends.) I have two certifications from the department of children and families which I received in Florida. I can speak Spanish (all though I'm not fluent but, I do comprehend/understand it very well.) I can help with homework as long as it's not math since that's my weakest school subject.
