I am seeking a position as a full time childcare provider. I have experience with children of all ages, diverse backgrounds, ethnicities and unique needs. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Counseling with a minor in Bible and Theology and I am currently enrolled in an online graduate degree program from the University of Florida. For several years, not only have I been a substitute teacher for a number of public and private schools throughout Georgia and North Carolina, but I also spent 3 summer seasons working at a camp for students with disabilities and special needs, in Wyoming. My fiancé and I have recently relocated back to my childhood home in northwest Florida with plans to settle down and build our new home and remain near my family. My CPR, AED and Lactation certifications are current. I am always searching for additional education and training to improve my skills involving childcare. From my adolescence years to present, I have been caring for children. I have had opportunities to care for children of all ages including infants, toddlers and up to young adults. Some of the children I have assisted with have been premature births, pairs of twins, and developmentally delayed children. Additionally, I’ve cared for children with food allergies, skin allergies, autism, Down Syndrome, ODD, OCD and ADHD. I have served as a Guardian Ad Litem for a child in the foster care system of the state of North Carolina. In that capacity, I acted on the child’s behalf in the court system to provide protection, guidance and support until the child reached the age of adulthood. As I have clearly described, my background has been extensive has in caring for children and their well-being. I find happiness in giving unselfishly to the needs of others. I have been a nanny on a part time basis to a number of families, but now I’m ready to transition into a full time and long term position. I welcome the opportunity to speak with you regarding my experience and your family’s needs. I am delighted to share references with you so that you may communicate openly to discuss my qualifications and experience. I am confident you will find my experience, skill set, work ethic, knowledge, education and overall professionalism at the highest levels. Thank you for your time and consideration, I look forward to working with you and your family. Very Respectfully, Amber

I home schooled my children and have volunteered extensively with children. I have been babysitting and involved with children since I was a child. I like to fully engage with kids and have no problem down to their level. Literally. Patient, helpful, able to be firm in a quiet way. Reading, games, quiet time. Able to respond and be friendly to all different kinds of children. By that I mean the quiet shy ones, the loud outgoing non-stop playing types. I have excellent references. Actually my best references might be from my own children who turned out very well if I may say so. My training includes thirty years of parenting. I am also a health food cook and like taking the time to either cook with children or do projects in the kitchen. Whether playing board games, reading exciting stories, or playing outside, I give the kids 100% of my attention. I don't smoke or text constantly. I prefer to be fully engaged with children.
