The care of children has always been close to my heart. I grew up taking care of my younger siblings, which taught me patience, love, and the importance of creating a safe and happy environment for them. To be even more prepared for this experience, I am currently studying early childhood education so I can provide the best care and support for your little ones. I love connecting with children through creative and fun activities, whether it’s doing crafts, playing outside, telling stories, or simply helping with their daily routines. My goal is to make every moment special, helping them learn and grow while feeling loved and understood. Responsibility, punctuality, and organization are qualities that define me, and I always bring a positive and warm attitude to everything I do. I can also help with some household tasks to make your daily life easier. My experience with children has been very special and enriching. During my social service, I had the opportunity to care for and support several children in an after-school center. I helped them with their homework, played with them, and assisted during mealtimes. Some of them had particular needs, such as a child with ADHD, another with a slower learning process due to a learning disorder, and a girl on the autism spectrum. With each of them, I learned the importance of empathy, patience, and understanding, always adapting to their way of seeing the world and making sure they felt supported and listened to.

I've had experience with kids from the age of seven months up to 11 years and experience in meals preps/cooking. I can also help out with housekeeping. I plan on studying early childhood development over the next few years, and hope to improve my knowledge in this field. I adore kids and want to do my best to be there for families who need a trusted sitter. I currently live in North Carolina, and plan on moving up to New York on January 21st.

My sitting experience goes back to when I was eight and my parents left me in charge of my four brothers from time to time, as I was always a natural nanny type! Started evening sitting jobs for neighborhood children at age 10. Since then, I have had numerous nanny jobs ranging from infant care all the way up to early teen, and a range of special needs clients of all ages. I was employed at the Glen Ellen State Hospital for adult special needs clients as an assistant teacher. My duties included trained client position transfers and creating stimulating curriculums based on their individualized abilities and interests and preferred stimulus! My last job I worked at the Jr. Club Daycare Department of the Sonoma Parkpoint Health Club, in California, 2015. Duties included guided projects and active play with children. Art, games, reading, music, make believe! Parents always loved my weeky projects and contests!! I was offered a supervisory position after only a year there but eventually I had to step down from that position for several reasons. I was in third trimester for my second child, My son Darwin, 3, (I have a 7 year old daughter Ellanor) my husband of late, had gotten a stage 4 colon cancer diagnosis and the California wildfires burnt down our house prompting the move back to North Carolina, I have been my husband and my children's care taker since then. I am ready to get back into child rearing and imaginitive play. I have a very very child friendly house ( I could seriously start a Waldorf daycare here!!) And would prefer to watch children in my own home as I would have my own children with me as well. This won't be ideal for everyone, but for the right lucky family, your littles are going to get great care and stimulation. We have 3 sweet cats ( who have grown up with grabby children, so they are patient, and a sweet old dog Princess Poppy who is good at flopping about here or there!!) I can pick them up, I am happy to facilitate any remote learning as well!
