I have a natural love of children and got my start babysitting when I was just eleven. As the oldest sibling of five, I was a natural. Mature for my age, and with strong nurturing instincts I had many repeat clients all through my teens. As an adult, I earned my BS in Psychology from Brigham Young University(2005). There is so much to learn about infant development, social, behavioral, and abnormal Pschology, I loved every minute of it! When my husband and I moved to take his first job in Louisiana, it was a natural choice for me to watch young children in our home. After I had our first child, a year later, I was offered an ideal job as the on-site Nanny at Earth Search Inc, my husband's place of employment. It was a great fit for our family, until we moved to Lexington KY for my husband to persue graduate school. While raising our young children I organized Mom's into a co-op preschool and babysitting swap. It was an ever-changing challenge, and I learned so much! I held teaching and leadership roles in our Church's children's organization, a joy which continued when we moved to Wilson, NC in 2013. Now that my children are all in school, I am looking for an opportunity to work with children primarily during school hours and occasional evenings available for date nights. Growing up helping my mother with my siblings at a young age has taught me a lot about kids growing up, I love babysitting kids aside from my siblings of course! Spending time with kids helping them learn basic skills can be very fun and very helpful not just for them but for myself into learning new things about them.
