I have experience babysitting my younger cousins as well as working at a daycare, where I helped with feeding, changing diapers, reading books, planning activities, playing with the children, and making sure they were supervised and safe. They are young and don't understand what to do. I like to give positive encouragement and help them understand why they might be feeling a certain way.
