Stephanie C.

Hello Moms & Dads :)- Please take a moment to read all 🌹 A little about me. My name is Stephanie, born & raised in NYC. I was studying law in college when I ended up having my child and realized my passion laid with children and decided to pursue a degree in childhood education instead. Throughout the last 20 years as a teacher and managing services for children with developmental disabilities in the department of health and department of education I have worked as a nanny.on the side for supplemental income. I have extensive experience with premature infants up to middle school children and with children on the spectrum, with ADHD or speech delays. I am well versed in the milestones a child should achieve and as a caregiver I implement age appropriate goals to make sure that I work with each child on all their domains of development including their cognitive, sociall, language, academic (if applicable) and physical; although safety is always my #1 priority. Working with children requires patience, empathy, being passionate about it and understanding that every child is different in their own way. I believe that good communication between parents and all caregivers is essential so that everyone is on the same page. As a mom myself I understand how difficult it can be specially for first time parents to separate from their child and feel like they are "missing out" or having a sense of guilt kick in and I'm here to make the process easier and provide ease. For parents with multiple children struggling to find alone or couple time, I am there to insure your mind is at ease with regards to your children’s care while you get some much needed girl/self/couples time. I am CPR certified and update it every 2 years. I am a non smoker. I don't do corporal punishment hence I am not a good fit with parents that do.. love pets 🐶🐱 Best of luck to everyone in their search 🌸🌸Note: I homeschool my teen who will more often than not come with me and be doing his school work on the computer for the most part. This hasn’t been an issue in the past as can be seen by my reviews but completely understand the parents who are not comfortable despite the transparency. 🌸🌸 I only work part time positions (mainly weekdays) as stated above as I work independently with the DOH and DOE. Hi there! I'm a junior at Columbia University, studying Urban Studies and Architecture. I'm originally from Kansas City and DC, and just got back this fall from Reims, France, the capital of Champagne, where I studied Political Science for two years. I'm outgoing, energetic, and caring with kids, and react well in emergencies. I tutored kids of all ages throughout high school, so I'm great with homework help. I have a valid drivers' license and am happy to run errands. I love teaching kids to be responsible for themselves, instead of being overbearing and authoritative in telling them what to do and not to do. I love making art, playing outside, and cooking with kids. Since I've been abroad since high school, I haven't been able to babysit as much as I used to, and I miss hanging out with kids! I nannied a pair of twins from ages 2 to 7, and have also babysat less longterm for several other families with children in the same age range. I volunteered for 3 years at a school for blind/visually impaired children aged 1-6, and for Head Start daycare.

Appreciation of one of my Employers (for the others see my reviews) 1- Marie Fernandez wrote : Nogaye is a great caregiver and teacher for our 2 year old daughter. She is very energetic and fun to be around. She is great in keeping our toddler always very busy by bringing her to the library, sing-a-long events, dance classes, the museum, the botanical garden and by being proactive in organizing play dates either at the playground/parks or indoors. Our daughter loves her. 2 Brian Tubbs. Nogaye was a wonderful French/English Nanny to our daughter. For one year Nogaye cared for our daughter full time. She did everything from the basics, diapers, feeding and cleaning, to teaching French an English while playing inside and outdoors. Nogaye is full of energy to keep up with the wildest child or inspire one's a bit more reserved. They were always going outside and to different places for fun, learning and playgroups. Nogaye is very skilled with children with separation anxiety and really understands what the child needs. Additionally, her studies in Child Development make her an excellent care giver. Nogaye treats my daughter as her own, and my daughter has grown very attached to Nogaye. - even asking for her on the weekends.

Yaylin B.

- 13 miles

Hi, my name is Yaylin and I’ve been babysitting since I was 15. I grew up with younger siblings and cousins so I grew to love being around kids and bonding with them. I have previously worked in neighborhoods like Hell's Kitchen, Upper West Side, Harlem, Tribeca, Washington Heights, Inwood, and Parkchester where in most of my previous jobs I have watched two kids at a time. The kids ranged in age from 6 months old - 12 years old. I am very patient, observant, compassionate, and reliable. I am a foodie so I will be able to cook for the kids, prepare snacks, help out with household chores and laundry, aid in errands, assist with homework if needed, take the kids to fun activities or parks or any clubs/programs they're involved in. I can also entertain the kids if needed but overall make sure they're safe and well taken care of. I am also very well with pets- cats and dogs- whom I also have experience caring for. I am a recent college graduate and I am flexible with scheduling as long as I am made aware in advance. I do not have a driver's license but I am very good at navigating the MTA transit system. I am bilingual so I am fluent in English and Spanish. I am First Aid/CPR certified as of January 2024. Looking forward to hear from you and please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions :)

Hi parents! I’ve been babysitting and nannying for 10 years and truly love what I do. I first started in college after connecting with local parents through my daycare position - and I’ve been lucky to build lasting relationships with many amazing families ever since. While I’m originally from New Jersey and have worked with families across my community there, I’ve recently moved to Manhattan and I’m excited to connect with new families here! Over the years, I’ve done everything from short-term babysitting and long-term nannying to being a go-to sitter for regular date nights. I have experience with kids of all ages, from infants to teens, and feel especially comfortable with bedtime routines, story time, and light dinner prep. I especially enjoy weekend sitting and date nights (my personal specialty!). I’m also happy to help with weekday evening coverage if parents need time to run errands or take a breather. I’m CPR certified and infant first-aid certified, and I have experience caring for children with allergies, including administering EpiPens. Lastly but certainly not least, I pride myself on being dependable and communicative - I always keep parents well informed about my availability. I know how important it is to have a reliable person watch over your little ones and will always do my best to avoid last minute cancellations. References available upon request - I’d love to get to know your family!
