I have extensive experience nurturing and supporting children from newborns through high school. I love creating engaging, developmentally-appropriate activities, reading stories, doing arts and crafts, making music, dancing, and exploring imaginative play. My son is 4 years old and my daughter is 18 months old. My children will accompany me to babysitting positions Monday through Friday. They're very comfortable in those settings-friendly, easygoing, and love playing with other kids! On weekends, I have childcare at home and am available to work independently. I also strongly believe in positive reinforcement (sticker chart with prize at end of week, pick of dinner or activity etc) I like to try and mimic the parents' way of doing things as best as possible to keep structure in childrens lives, and also try and cater to the activities the specific child likes most (after any room-cleaning/homework if any they’re required to do is done). I am a former critical care medic so have extensive CPR and first aide training and experience. I have a 13 year old son in 8th grade, a 7 year old daughter in second grade and am a stay at home mom. I am highly involved in my kids schools as a teacher aide as needed.
