Hey!! I'm Mackenzye, I'm 21 and I have been babysitting since I was 9. I know some of you are probably wondering "Who let a 9 year old babysit?", it was my baby brother and my 6 year old sister at the time. I've been babysitting ever since. Most recently I have babysat 2 year old twins. I have 5 siblings so I'm pretty good in chaotic environments with multiple kids. Since I started babysitting so young I feel like I have a unique perspective. I feel like I can also relate to the kids pretty well. I graduated high school a few years and during my last year I helped out in a 4th grade classroom so I got to know what kids are into these days. I am currently enrolled in an online masters program for elementary education. I recently babysat 2 elementary age boys in the morning before working at their school as an RTI Teaching Assistant and a 14 month old afterwards. I enjoyed every moment I had with them. I currently nanny for 2 children- an 8 year old boy and a 10 year old girl. I prepare weekly activities for them and keep every day busy with crafts and activities. I am trained in CPR, I am a swim instructor and I have camp counseling experience. My experience working in a school has helped me learn how to teach tremendously. I encourage my summer kids to keep their brains active every day for 30 mins. They do a sheet in a packet and read for 15 mins. I love helping them with their work.
