Hi! My name is Lainna and I just finished my freshman year at Tulane University of New Orleans. I have lived in upstate NY my entire life and have been babysitting since I was 13. While at college I babysat through an app called Wyndy for multiple families. Most of these families I ended up forming close relationships with and would babysit their children at least once a week. I am comfortable staying to late hours of the night or even overnight if that is what is required. I have my own car to transport myself to and from your house. Through that app and other experience from home I have babysat children of all ages. I am experienced with feeding, changing diapers, bathing, cooking, school work and taking care of pets. Hello, I am a college student looking for babysitting jobs while in college. I plan on being a teacher and I have experience working with and looking after children. I’m very artistic and good at math and science. I have previous experience in classrooms and working at both a Girl Scouts summer camp and a summer camp for children and adults with disabilities. I am also BLS certified with the American Heart Association, lifeguard-CPR-First aid certified with the Red Cross, and I hold a Food Protection Manager certification. I am also in progress of completing all of my Teacher Certification Exams so I can teach early childhood, childhood, middle school earth science, and special education.

I have always liked to work with children. In my teen years, I worked summers at a Montessori school. I learned many things about learning pace and simple objects to teach a lesson. After that, I worked in a daycare where I was an infant & toddler teacher. After that daycare closed down, I had my own child and stayed home until he was 6 months old. I then worked at our local YMCA as a pre school teacher, and then at a preschool geared toward children with disabilities. I worked with many different children; visually impaired, 1:1 for child with severe Autism, children with Down Syndrome, FAS, and learned many techniques to sooth and help these children to do the activities that the "typically" developing children were doing.  I currently have my Associates in the Arts and am enrolled at Empire State. I will have my Bachelors in Human Services in Dec 2013.  My favorite thing to do is hang out with my amazing six year old son! He has made me a football lover (Patriots!). I also like to read, watch movies, shop, and spending time with family and friends.
