For many years I have worked with childrens of different ages, different backgrounds and some with exceptionalities such as ADHD and Autism. I love to cook healthy meals according to their preferences, playing their games, understanding and supporting their personal worlds. I am a team player. I like to collaborate with the family as needed and I am flexible in terms of schedule and tasks. Running errands, scheduling playdates, going to doctors appointments are some of the responsibilities I have carrie out. I love pets and encouraging children to love them and be good caretakers. Punctuality and reliability are very important so I like to prepare ahead of time, plan accordingly so there is smooth sailing all around. I love sports so playing with the children sports and encouraging a lot of physical activity is always on my mind. I have been a teacher so academically I can support children and understand what they need to meet their teacher's expectations and do well in school. Meeting the family's needs and expectations are my top priority.

Yaylin B., Babysitter in Mamaroneck, NY 10543 with 2 years of paid experience

Hi, my name is Yaylin and I’ve been babysitting since I was 15. I grew up with younger siblings and cousins so I grew to love being around kids and bonding with them. I have previously worked in neighborhoods like Hell's Kitchen, Upper West Side, Harlem, Tribeca, Washington Heights, Inwood, and Parkchester where in most of my previous jobs I have watched two kids at a time. The kids ranged in age from 6 months old - 12 years old. I am very patient, observant, compassionate, and reliable. I am a foodie so I will be able to cook for the kids, prepare snacks, help out with household chores and laundry, aid in errands, assist with homework if needed, take the kids to fun activities or parks or any clubs/programs they're involved in. I can also entertain the kids if needed but overall make sure they're safe and well taken care of. I am also very well with pets- cats and dogs- whom I also have experience caring for. I am a recent college graduate and I am flexible with scheduling as long as I am made aware in advance. I do not have a driver's license but I am very good at navigating the MTA transit system. I am bilingual so I am fluent in English and Spanish. I am First Aid/CPR certified as of January 2024. Looking forward to hear from you and please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions :)

I am 38 years old. What sets me apart from everyone, is that I get them. Them meaning children. Parents of children that are typically shy, and not really interested in playing with anyone new— are dumbfounded after they hear their shy child with me. We click. It just happens. Sincerely, I am the most honest, transparent, respectful, resourceful, and reliable person I know. I am genuine. I assume nothing. I ask lot of questions. And more than that, I am hands down the most fun. I am known for screaming “Please hurry guys! There is a movie star in this house! Come look!” (It’s me looking at my self in the mirror. Hahaha) If you want to make a kid laugh, I say “give me 5” and quickly pull my hand away. It gets them every time. My best friend’s children FaceTime me (and I learned I’m the only friend that gets these calls lolol) daily. I don’t know what it is. But I have it. It could be that I talk about everything with them. From their farts to poop… It is so important for them to be able to laugh at themselves. More, I want children to feel confident and comfortable telling me (or mom and dad) anything: if there are worms in their poop, butt is itchy, etc. I’m not a fan of the kitchen. Dole peach cups, and water or an Honest flavored drink. I would love to have an approved meal that I may order from door dash (on me) for them. If you look at my Facebook page you will see how I am with kids. I have been babysitting since high school. Babysitting 8-12 girls from 8am-2pm. During summer break from college. And we often went to the park, often packed with more kids. Communication is every second and it means everything. My attention was on 10 girls under 6. I managed the chaos, made sure their chins were always up, and I could see their teeth. Not once did I meet a child that I could not reach. When the parents tell me, you are the kids’ favorite - I can’t imagine someone that is better with children than myself. ☺️ I love sciences: anatomy and physiology, and microbiology. I will correct their English, if they use a word incorrectly. Believe it or not, children don’t mind being corrected. It is the parents that chime in: ‘it’s okay, school is over’. For example, if someone uses an adjective when an adverb is appropriate. The difference between “may” and “can”. And when to use “I” versus me.” I am super inquisitive. If I do t know the answer, Google will :).
