Currently I am a full-time nanny in Manhattan for two boys, 4 and 1. I love my job but would like to pick up some occasional babysitting work.
I have had a passion for working with children for many, many years. I took a babysitter’s course as a twelve year old and began various babysitting jobs around my hometown of Kennebunk, ME and in my summer home in Cape Cod. I’ve taken care of children from 3 months old to 12 years old. During my first year at NYU, I had the opportunity to work with preschool children everyday at Jumpstart, and returned my junior year as a team leader, supervising the Corp Members and children. As a team we planned out session activities to involve learning for the child including reading, writing, songs and games. While doing my student teaching in Spanish for middle and high school students, I was also a full-time student and babysat 15 hours a week. During my various summers I was a camp counselor for kindergarten/first graders, full-time mother’s helper for the month of August for a 3 month old, full-time weekend nanny in the Hamptons, and part-time babysitter on the Upper East Side.
I just love working with all ages: babies, toddlers, kids, and teens!
