My primary mission as a nanny is to be present and steadfastly there in anyway that the family may need at any given time. I am dedicated to creating a safe space where the children in my care can grow and develop in their bodies and minds as well as experience a sense of freedom to fully embrace their unique personality. In order to establish this atmosphere of growth and freedom, I do my best to lay a foundation of trust and stability while paying special attention to really getting to know the nature and nuances of the children in my care. As a nanny, I am committed to finding the balance and intersections between teaching the children important values such as kindness and self-discipline while also having fun and finding things to smile and be excited about daily. As an adult most of us experience that eating healthfully, sleeping well, loving big, and laughing every single day is a pretty solid recipe for happiness, that is, if we are fortunate enough in life to find all of the ingredients, and so I especially carry this recipe with me when caring for children and hope to share it with them through our everyday interactions. Although I have over a decade of nannying experience, I have currently been with the same family for almost 8 years. Helping to raise the twin girls from the time they were one year old and their big sister starting at the age of five has been the most rewarding "jobs" I have ever had the privilege to experience. They are now ages 8 (twins) and 13 and so I have been fully involved in each and every stage of their development. Some of my duties through out the years include: meal preparation, bed/bath time, toilet training, homework help, transporting to activities, traveling with family, overnights/long weekend while parents are away, keeping household stocked and organized and the list of course goes on. I have also worked as an assistant pre-school teacher for two years and have specialized experience with ages 2-5 in a classroom setting where incorporating learning styles and temperaments of children was paramount and has given me a bit of a more practiced insight into the development of that age group. My formal education begins with a BA in English, Literature as well as a CDA (Child Development Associates credential). I am also First Aid/CPR trained for infants/children and adults, Mental Health First Aid trained, and a certified yoga instructor with an add on certification in yoga anatomy.

Hi! I’m a rising senior at SUNY Oneonta. I’m studying childhood education in hopes to become a teacher! I am currently working at home on Long Island at a developmental preschool for students with disabilities, where I help guide children through fun and educational activities. I’m patient, energetic and love working with kids. I am also CPR/AED certified. I have been teaching children swim lessons for the past few years as well.
