Hi, my name is Kiara but I go by Kiwi! I'm a native New Yorker from Brooklyn and I have over 4 years of childcare experience. I worked at a daycare in Queens (Future Sunshine Daycare) part-time, and went full-time after about 6 months as the owner is also a foster mother and needed help with her 3 foster children. I started living-in 4 days a week for about a year while still working for the daycare, thus caring for 8 kids (2 infants aged 4-6 months, 1 toddler aged 3 and 5 older children aged 6-9) along with 2 other alternating workers. I worked there for 2 years alternating between part-time and full-time after the foster children moved on. This passing summer I worked as a camp counselor at a summer camp in Plymouth, Vermont. I worked there throughout the whole summer as a camp counselor monitoring kids ages 4-11. Since then I've been babysitting for different families and providing occasional coverage for workers at the daycare. I am CPR and AED certified for both adults and children, my red cross certification ID is 10VNC1Q.

Kiara (aka “Kiwi”) is wonderful! She's been helping with my son's afterschool care and has been incredibly reliable. Our toddler absolutely loves her. She brings creative activities, keeps him engaged, and brings such a positive energy into our home. We’re so grateful to have found her and couldn’t recommend her more highly!

Hi Parents, My name is Djane. I have experience caring for both infants and toddlers, and I truly enjoy supporting children’s growth and development in a safe, loving, and engaging environment. I’m responsible, organized, patient, and easygoing. I bring a positive and energetic attitude to my work, and I value creating a calm, nurturing space where children feel comfortable, secure, and happy. Being around kids genuinely brings me joy. I love planning fun and age-appropriate activities, spending time outdoors, going to the park, and encouraging curiosity through play and exploration. I’m also very comfortable with pets and have no restrictions or allergies. I’m looking for a family where I can build a strong, trusting relationship and become a reliable and supportive presence in your daily routine.

Djane was a fantastic nanny and babysitter for our daughter (3.5yo) and son (1yo). She is incredibly responsible, organized, and our kids absolutely loved spending time with her. She did fun things with them (library, crafts, park - and taught our daughter to swing on her own!) and was considerate about details such as packing lunch, healthy snacks, etc. We were so fortunate to work with her, and we always felt that our kids were in incredibly safe hands. We still stay in touch with her and would highly recommend.

Nicole is an excellent babysitter. She's kind, outgoing, engaged, and professional. My 11 month old daughter loves to play with her. When we needed extra weeknight help, Nicole jumped into our routine seamlessly. She follows directions but doesn't need handholding. She has lots of experience and is very attentive to our child. I feel I can trust her completely. Highly recommend Nicole as a babysitter!

Hi! I've been a nanny and babysitter for over 14 years, caring for children from just a few weeks old up to age 12. What started as helping out a co-worker occasionally has grown into something I've done alongside my professional life for over a decade-and I genuinely love it. Most recently, I spent 7 years with one Brooklyn family, caring for their son from age 5 through 12. I've also worked with babies, toddlers, and sibling combos, including kids with autism and mood-related challenges. I'm confident juggling different needs, ages, and personalities-whether that's helping a toddler through potty training or guiding a 10-year-old through homework frustration. I'm comfortable with: -Infants, toddlers, and older children (including multiples) -Special needs (including mild autism and mood disorders) -Doctor visits -Daytime outings, pickups/drop-offs -Cooking, light cleaning, bedtime, bath time, homework help -Pet-friendly homes (I love animals!) I freelance & work remotely in sales and marketing, which gives me a flexible schedule. Whether you need regular care or backup support, my goal is to make your life easier and help your child feel safe, supported, and seen. Please note: Multiple children and/or combined pet care and other duties influence rate. Minimum & Cancellation Policy: • 3 hour shift minimum unless otherwise discussed • Cancellations within 24 hours: • Under 7 hour shifts: 3 hours minimum paid • 7–9 hour shifts: 4 hours paid • 9+ hour shifts: 50% of originally scheduled hours paid

Wendy came to babysit our 3 month old twice in a hotel room for dinner. She was great! Fantastic communication, punctual, was able to resettle our baby to sleep (no small feat!) and very trustworthy. We will definitely ask her again next time we visit.

Its been a long pandemic, I am fully vaccinated and boosted. I am your weekend backup to help you reset after a long week of being a superhero aka parent. I began working with children at the age of 15. I was a Counselor in Training at a sleep away camp. The following two years I worked as a Camp Counselor at the same camp. I began babysitting at the age of 18. I have worked with multiple families with multiple children. I currently work at a Dance Studio as the manager and instructor. The Dance Studio mostly caters to children between the ages of 2 through 14. I am currently certified in First Aid/CPR/AED for both Adult and Pediatric. My experience makes me qualified but my personality is why I have such a great relationship with the kids. Babysitting has always been fun for me. Children are true little sponges that soak up everything. The things they say or do always manage to make my day brighter. Being younger allows me to truly enjoy my time with families. I love to go outside with kids play a little soccer, baseball, or basketball. Kids always love that I can teach them some dance moves. Although usually most kids just prefer me to read to them. I try to give every character in a book their own voice. I haven't had a bad experience sitting. The occasional meltdown is expected and I'm prepared to handle whatever is thrown mine way. References, a resume and a professional background check are available upon request.

With 9 years of childcare experience: I am an energetic, creative, and dependable sitter who loves helping children feel comfortable, supported, and excited to explore the world around them. My approach to childcare is deeply rooted in family and community. As one of the oldest members of my family’s younger generation, I naturally grew into a role centered around care, responsibility, and making younger children feel safe and comfortable. Those experiences raised me to be adaptable, attentive to individual needs, and comfortable with all kinds of personalities. For nearly a decade, childcare has been one of my primary sources of work and has given me experience caring for children across a wide range of ages. I’m comfortable supporting the full rhythm of a family’s day, including school and activity pick-ups/drop-offs, errands, meal preparation, diaper changes, bedtime routines, and light housekeeping related to the children. I’m also CPR and First Aid certified. I do not have my own car, but do have a driver’s license if needed. I also bring an academic and professional background in advocacy and research. I hold a B.S. in Political Science with a minor in Ethics and completed two years of law school. After completing two years, I realized it was best to ground my advocacy within the realm of childcare responsibilities. When I’m not caring for kids, I am applying my legal training through independent research -- holding a strong focus of community advocacy. Ultimately, I love that childcare provides the opportunity to combine my creativity, sense of responsibility, and passion for working with children in a meaningful way. Feel free to contact me for references or to set up a call! I’d love the opportunity to learn more about your family and how I can support your childcare needs. I’m excited to bring my passion and positive attitude to families in New York.
