I am a former teacher, camp counselor, and behavior assistant seeking a more individualized caretaking role for a child/children. I love helping children become self- sufficient learners and responsible, respectful humans. I have been passionate about childcare my entire life. I began babysitting at 13, I helped my aunt do things at her daycare before that. I have a CPR/AED/First aid certification, for the past 10 consecutive years. I also worked a camp program director, career coach, Disney college program participant, and more. I have also coached basketball and soccer for ages 5-8. I am an empathetic, dependable jack of all trades who aims to making others smile and laugh. I enjoy the outdoors with my 55 pound lap dog, late night drives with the music turned up, and a dip in the pool every day possible! At camp I excelled in teaching wilderness survival, arts and crafts, drama, singing, high adventure activities, horseback riding, etc. At school I taught to ages 6-13. I taught first grade math and assisted with phonics. I was also the title 1 reading teacher and assisted in IEP classes. I also am interested in doing things to help make life easier for the entire family.
