Hi there! My name is Sierra Garcia, I am 23 years old and my pronouns are She/Her. I am currently a University student majoring in Early Childhood education and Mild/Moderate Intervention. I am a Majorette for my school’s Marching Band and a member of Sigma Kappa social Sorority. I love to spend time outside, swim, play video/bored games, as well as watch movies and cartoons! I also love to crochet, make friendship bracelets, paint and craft. My favorite color is pink and I have been regularly babysitting for 3 years and I love being around kiddos of all ages! Throughout my 3 years of babysitting and I have worked with ages 6 months to 15 years of age. This includes typical children as well as those with disabilities. The disabilities I have worked with long term while babysitting include cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, epilepsy, and intellectual disabilities. Aside from my babysitting experience, I have also worked with children who have optional defiant disorder, traumatic brain injuries, auditory processing disorders and hearing impairments. As an education student I have been placed in 3 different classrooms as a student teacher and para-professional in training to gain field experience. I have also been trained in basic CPR and First Aide! Working with children is my passion and I’d be honored to get to know you and your family. I hope this information helped you get a better idea of who I am and my experiences in the field. I am so excited to start working with you and your family! My best, Sierra Garcia!

I am responsible, patient, organized, and dependable. I have strong communication skills and work well with both children and parents. I am good at problem-solving, staying calm under pressure, and creating engaging activities for kids. I also understand the importance of safety, routines, and positive behavior support when caring for children. I have experience caring for children of different ages through babysitting for family, friends, and others in my community. My responsibilities have included supervising children, preparing meals and snacks, helping with homework, organizing activities, maintaining routines, and ensuring a safe environment. I am comfortable handling multiple children at once and adapting to each family’s specific needs. I love being a sitter because I enjoy building connections with children and helping create a safe, positive, and fun environment for them. I like being someone families can rely on, whether that means helping with homework, keeping kids entertained, or simply making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. Watching children learn, grow, and have fun makes the experience rewarding for me.

Hey there, I’m Tori! I have been working in childcare services in Toledo for the past 4 years, currently as an autism therapist (Registered Behavior Technician). I moved to Toledo back in 2019 after graduating from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology, minoring in Public Health. I have been CPR/First Aid certified for over 7 years, and first became CPR certified when I was 12 years old so I could babysit. I got my professional start as a pediatric case manager at a community mental health center, often providing child transportation or visiting schools to assist kids in their day-to-day environment. Through that, I realized how much I loved working with kids and helping them to feel understood! I wanted to work more directly in childcare, so I trained to become a Registered Behavior Technician in July 2020. I’ve become highly experienced in ABA, primarily focusing on the child’s interests to promote learning and building skills - both academically and emotionally. After about a year as an RBT, I began training other therapists to prepare for their credentialing exam. It’s been 3 years now, and I’ve gained experience with all sorts of aspects of childcare, including potty training, field trips, teaching in the natural environment, and the importance of play! I especially love getting the kids engaged in sensory play, like bubbles, paint/arts and crafts, and dinosaur digs. I also have tons of recipes for edible sensory play, if your kiddo still explores the world with their mouth haha! Outside of my professional life, I have a deep love and appreciation for music. I’ve been singing my whole life and also picked up a few instruments here and there. I also have found that my love for music crosses over into my work all the time! It makes sense, since I once considered pursuing music education somewhere along the way. I love using music to play, bond with, and even teach the kids! Music can often be a great tool when learning or remembering something new, so I like to use it a lot. I have a puppy, so I’m comfortable with dogs and helping with their care if necessary too! I can’t wait to meet your family!
