I am currently a Year 2 undergraduate student at Bowling Green State University, majoring in Adolescence to Young Adult Spanish Education. I have prior experienced in paid babysitting for a year as my mom suggested it would be a great fit for me (I babysat my mom’s friends’ children while they’re at work or need extra assistance). Currently, I volunteer at La Conexión at First Presbyterian Church, where I look after a group of children of Hispanic background, in addition to helping them with homework or ESL. Babysitting is a great job for students like me who are looking to make some money to support our education while looking after the children, interacting with them, and playing with them. I had some experience teaching elementary students as well. I practiced CPR back in high school, and am committed to pursuing a CPR + First Aid certification for my future career as a teacher. My name is Regan Tischler and I work in children’s services as a social worker. During COVID (2020-2021), I had the opportunity to babysit two separate children from different families. The children were 9 months and 6 months old when I began working with them. I would spend my day being a nanny of the house for one child, while the other had more flexible hours and left me in charge of taking her to and from daycare, while watching the pet and putting breakfast together for the child. I babysat both kids for approximately 2 years. I have worked as a mentor to 3rd-5th grade girls while in college. Over the summer of 2019, I worked at Primrose Daycare in Lewis Center.
