I’m from the East Coast and moved to Portland two years ago and live outside Ladds Edition. I’m an experienced nanny and went to school at Western Kentucky University for special education. I am also an experienced petsitter and was a veterinary technician for five years I absolutely love spending time with kids and watching them grow. I refuse to lose my child like wonder. I am fulfilled when I see that I have had an impact on a child’s life. I grew up in a dysfunctional family. I know what it is like to have been astruggling child, but I’ve used it in a positive light. I think it is an honor and a privilege to interact with a child and be a light in their lives . I love art, crafts, playing outside and being active with the kids! Painting, Gardening, Animals and anything outside

Kristen was absolutely wonderful and intuitive to what our kids and pets alike needed/wanted, during her stay. She was on-time (early), prepared, and even brought some toys for the dogs. During her stay, she instantly won the love and trust of both the kids and pets. Kristen has been the only stranger that our husky has met who was able to immediately earn her trust (dogs know!). Kristen was absolutely phenomenal with our autistic son, and paid him the "extra" attention he needed. My kids now consistently ask us when "Auntie K" is coming over to play with them next. The honest answer: is whenever we require a sitter, moving forward. We will absolutely continue to reach out to Kristen anytime we need a sitter, and I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone needing a reliable, respectful, kind, professional sitter!

Hi! My name is Rachelle and I have been working with children for quite a few years now and it is my passion! I've worked in infant toddler development centers, taught preschool, been a nanny several times and have had children of my own! I've taken several child development classes and been to several trainings and continue to educate myself in child development. I'm especially interested in the Reggio approach.

Rachelle is a knowledgeable, experienced, and fun-loving caregiver for our little ones! We initially hired her for nannyshare one day a week, for my 3 year old and another toddler. I now have two kids (5 and 2) and we use her as a regular babysitter. My kids call those days “Rachelle days” and wait eagerly by the door for her to arrive. Rachelle has endless patience and is always up for whatever game the kids want to play. And with her years and years of experience, my husband and I can truly enjoy our time away, knowing our kids are in excellent hands. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to Rachelle for your caregiving needs! ?

17 years of safe, engaging, skill building fun facilitation; supplemented with homework help, tutoring, and academic support... While attending university, I began facilitating recreation therapy respite for families adjusted by developmental differences. I also continued with the YMCA, YWCA and local youth bureau; all while also living and serving with the local volunteer fire department. Upon graduation I accepted a couple roles as Program Director, but soon realized that front line work was my truest passion. Since my work as a Family Advocate, Wilderness Therapy Guide, Kids Ski Instructor, "Manny" (Nanny), Firefighter, Alpine Manager, Mountain Bike Coach, Lifeguard, and Summer Camp Director for multiple camps, I have gained and honed a diverse skill set. My experience provides families with a compassionate, professional, fun loving, supportive, flexible, and nurturing care giver. Whether you need a one time “babysitter” or a commitment over an extended period of time, I feel confident that I can provide the stimulating and/or structured environment, balanced and tailored for your little people to thrive. Philosophically, I believe in and promote autonomy and democracy; encouraging choice, individuality, compromise, and teamwork. Ex: I do not believe in asking one to apologize, but rather explaining to them the relational benefits of such actions, and providing them the opportunity. Currently, I spend a lot of time in the mountains, tackling personal objectives; so though my location may be elsewhere, I may be looking to work in an area close to your childcare needs.

David was an amazing temporary nanny for our family and a tremendous help while we searched for a full-time caregiver. He cared for our two children (ages 4 and 1.5) with so much patience and attentiveness, ensuring they felt safe, engaged, and happy. Not only did he include plenty of outdoor time for the kids to explore and play, but he also went above and beyond by doing science experiments and other educational activities with our older son. It was wonderful to see how much our son enjoyed science experiments with David! David was incredibly reliable, always arriving on time and keeping us updated throughout the day with pictures and notes. His calm demeanor, respectful attitude, and genuine connection with our children made him an excellent fit during this transitional time. We’re so grateful for the care and creativity he brought to our family and would highly recommend him to anyone and would gladly hire him again whenever he is in the Buffalo area.

Pam has been helping us out with our 7yr old daughter multiple times a week for several months. Pam meets our daughter at the bus stop and ensures she gets home safely after school. Pam is always on time, very dependable and trustworthy. Pam knows how to interact with kids and meets them where they are at. We are super thankful for Pam and will continue to have her help us care for our daughter.

Hi! I love working with children because every day with them is a unique adventure, it’s always exciting, rewarding, and full of new opportunities to learn and grow together. As the oldest grandchild in my family, I naturally grew up caring for my younger cousins, from changing diapers and preparing meals to helping with homework and daily routines. Along with over 4 years of childcare experience, I’ve worked at an under-five clinic, where I assisted with basic infant health checkups and provided nutritional guidance to parents. I also helped run my church’s summer daycare program in 2023, creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. I’m CPR and First Aid trained and committed to providing dependable, attentive care. I’m comfortable caring for children of all ages, from infants to teenagers, and I’m happy to help with meal preparation, homework, transportation, light housekeeping, and maintaining daily routines. My goal is to create a nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and free to have fun while giving parents peace of mind.
