Hi there! My name is Hailey, I am 23 years old and live in Dingmans Ferry, PA. I grew up in Matamoras, PA and have been heavily involved in my community from a very young age via volunteer work for various non-profit organizations and child welfare agencies, which guided me to pursue a career working with children. I was raised by a single mom for most of my life who owns & operates and in home daycare that she developed when I was young as a way to provide care for myself and my siblings. As the oldest of my siblings, with a significant age gap, and exposure to children of all ages through her daycare, I gained extensive experience working with children of all ages very early on in life. I began to babysit when I was about 12 years old, continuing to babysit through high school, college, and graduate school. I have extensive experience working with children and adults with disabilities, experience working with multiples, experience working with children with significant behavior and/or medical needs, and more. I attended Lock Haven University from 2017-2021 and earned two Bachelor’s degrees in Social Work and Special Education. While in college I was employed at an in patient psychiatric hospital where I worked with patients ages 3-18. Additionally while in college I babysat for several families on a regular basis, and volunteered frequently through various organizations such as The Salvation Army’s after school program, the YMCA’s child centered services, the counties big brother/big sister program, and more! After graduation from LHU I went on to obtain my Masters degree in Social Work, which I earned in May of 2023. While in graduate school I continued to babysit regularly and had the opportunity to work with even more families. I am currently a Director for a local non-profit 501-c organization where I serve children and families effected by intelectual and developmental disabilities. I am currently CPR and First Aid certified and posses extensive clearances including state clearances, federal clearances, state police clearances, child abuse clearances, FBI clearances and more. I am happy to provide references as requested :) I am currently working on obtaining my Social Work license and am preparing to take my exam/finishing up clinical hours needed to become eligible to take my exam.
