I feel like babysitting has always come naturally to me. I started at a pretty young age and have been around kids and helping take care of them for most of my life. It’s something I’ve always felt comfortable doing and enjoy being able to help families out when they need it. I’ve been babysitting since I was 13 years old and have watched kids of all different ages. I also have multiple nieces and nephews ranging from 6 to 10 years old who I’ve helped take care of since they were born. From 2021 to 2022, I worked at a childcare center where I cared for children from 6 months to 6 years old. I helped with diaper changes, potty training, meals, keeping everything clean and safe, and planning activities for the kids. I also communicated with parents about their child’s needs and how they were doing throughout the day. The only reason I stopped working in childcare was because I moved about an hour away from the school I was working at. Around the same time, my family opened a restaurant, so I ended up helping my family with getting everything up and running and taking on a lot of that responsibility. I have experience with children of different ages and am comfortable with things like diaper changes, potty training, preparing meals and snacks, cleaning up, and keeping kids on their routines. I’m also comfortable communicating with parents and making sure they know how their child is doing.
