Hi! My name is Kathleen and I am a kindergarten music teacher in the Norristown Area School District (as a PA certified teacher all clearances available upon request). I grew up in a large family of six kids and have always enjoyed working with children. During high school, I began camp counseling during the summers and professionally working with children. In college, I started babysitting for families with toddlers and elementary-aged children. When I graduated, I began teaching music, working with children grades 1-8. Now I currently work with kindergarten children aged 5-6. Outside of teaching music, I am a very active individual. I enjoy cooking, baking, reading, performing on voice and piano, exploring museums and new places, playing guitar, and sports. I recently received my black belt and have been training in martial arts for five years. I also enjoy playing volleyball and frisbee in recreational leagues with friends. As a sitter, I've always enjoyed providing the best experiences for families and their children. I am not the kind of sitter who is going to be content doing the bare minimum. I really genuinely love helping families and engaging and creating quality activities for children. Especially during the warmer months, I love taking children for time outside like walks to the park or playing soccer or tag in the yard. I've enjoyed building new lego creations, baking cookies, and drawing and painting. I also have no problem cleaning and doing house work, I actually enjoy it. However, I will always ask if it's okay though. I also have no problem making snacks and food for children. I've always treated each child and family as if they were my own and always make sure to deliver service with the utmost respect and care.
