I have experience babysitting a family nearby me at my home town. I also taught ages 4-7 dance for 3 years. I do attend Pennsylvania college of technology and will be there for 2 years straight I am just looking for flexible hours since I do have classes tuesday-friday till 3pm. I would 100% be up to working the weekends as well!

I also believe children should have at least 30 mins. of outdoor play and should be taught to enjoy reading. My former employers will tell you that I am always on time and very reliable.

Hi! I’m Kiley. I started officially babysitting when I was 12. I did a babysitting course through upmc. I learned the hieimlich as well as cpr. I have had refreshers on them since! I've babysat so many kids! From itty bitty babies to teenagers! From 1 kid at a time to 4 or more. I've taken care of children with different disabilities and illnesses (mental or physical). I have so much patience for children who need a little extra attention. I am understanding of different situations and how they can affect a child. One thing about me is I'll always take care of any child as it is my own. It is such a privilege to take care of other peoples children. Being trusted like that is such a blessing! I love being a babysitter because I love children and enjoy making kids have fun. I want to provide kids with a safe happy environment. Last summer I watched kids from ages 3-10. I can go housekeeping prepare breakfast lunch dinner for children. Read bed time stories and involve fun activities.

I have a love for helping kids through out the day while away from their partners and/or caregivers. I’m able to commute within walking distance of my home, if a child needs care within my home I have a clean setting and a well behaved baby at home as well as my significant other. Activities for the child are welcome in my home, there is a very nice park nearby for outdoor activities, I also have an IPad and small TV to help keep child occupied while in my home or can bring my IPad with me to your home for the child to play games and watch shows on. I’m also willing to strictly listen to your care instructions. With care and help involving homework, outdoor activities, monitoring screen time, keeping a child content and happy, meals, etc.

I have cared for many children and love the experience, as I likely will be unable to have any of my own. Given my usual job is independent contracting, I can be available whenever needed. I did not attend college but graduated high school while homeless. It warms my heart to be apart of helping the next generation become all they wish to be.

Hello, my name is Jan Mengel. I am a retired teacher with an 4-year degree in Elementary/Special Education from Slippery Rock University, and a Masters degree in Special Education from the University of Pittsburgh. I have returned to the Williamsport, PA. area after spending over 6 years in the North Hills of Pittsburgh helping to care for my 4 grandsons, who were newborn, 3, 7, and 8 years old when I first moved there. I was responsible for their total care for anywhere from a few hours, to overnights of a few days. My grandsons and I have so many precious memories of those times together! Once my grandsons were older, I cared for a 2-year-old in his home. Since Korean is spoken almost exclusively in his home, I enjoyed learning a few Korean words, and introducing him to the English language. Music activities, including singing, dancing, and singing games were our favorites, and helped him to understand and speak many English words! When that child turned three and moved on to preschool, I was hired at a local daycare. What a wonderful job that was of reading books and teaching those same music activities to children ages 1-5! The majority of my professional experience has been with preschool to young adults with disabilities. However, in addition to my most recent work activities while living in the Pittsburgh area, I have volunteered at my church as a teacher and choir director for kids without any identified needs. A highlight of this volunteer work was including an elementary aged boy living with cerebral palsy, and a preschool/elementary aged boy living with autism into our classroom and choir with their peers of a similar age. It was very rewarding to see their peers learn about their specialized communication devices that allowed them to sing and learn along with their friends! Also, a huge passion of mine is my Diapers Away program, which has assisted over 50 children, with and without disabilities, in saying goodbye to diapers! Since it recently became necessary for me to move to the Williamsport area, I am now seeking part-time employment helping children with or without identified disabilities in home, school or daycare environments. Mid-morning to late afternoon hours are preferred, but flexibility within a part-time work schedule is possible.
