I enjoy being a sitter because I love working with kids and helping them feel safe, supported, and engaged. I am 47 years old and have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood. I’m the oldest of 4 siblings and raised my siblings. I knew I loved taking care of kids and teaching them. I became a babysitter and nanny before I was out of high school. I knew then what career I wanted. While in college I started off as a lead infant teacher and worked my way up to preschool! I loved being in a clsssroom environment, but I can bring my skill sets to any environment! The most rewarding part is watching the excitement on a child’s face when they are learning and it’s fun! I also have worked with children who have special needs like autism and behavioral issues. I have worked with all parents and have great communication skills. I am also an artist and love to add my skills to fun learning. I pay attention to detail and have great conflict resolution skills. I have applied play based strategies like games and crafts to provide hands on learning. I am patient and comfortable with all personalities. I love to cook and pretty can tackle almost anything. Currently working on renewing my cpr/first aid training. I have all my clearances that are current including my background. Clearances and references upon request.
