Some things I love are spending time outdoors, being with family, and I am a huge animal lover! I am an aunt of four amazing and adorable toddlers, ages 12 months to 5 years, and I absolutely love spending my time with them; They make my life complete! I have plenty of experience babysitting them on their parents' date nights, or early busy mornings, either way we always have a blast! Truly, I have always looked forward to being a mother myself but for now, being the best aunt as possible is my goal! My background is in musical theatre. Today, I work remotely in accessibility services for the deaf and hard-of-hearing. While in college, I worked at a daycare center. I also spent six months as an au pair in Dublin, Ireland. Since moving to NYC in 2010 I have been babysitting steadily for children from 6 months old to 11 years old. I love playing with kids, reading them stories, singing songs, doing arts and crafts, and helping them learn. They never cease to amaze me. Having fun is important, but I am also a firm believer in safety and cleanliness. Communication and flexibility are imperative when taking care of children. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and running. To date, I have run five full marathons, including being part of the American Cancer Society's team for the NYC Marathon. Past shows I was in include Freckleface Strawberry as the Ballet Girl and a national tour of Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse; both are children's shows based on books. You may also have seen me as Zuzu the Elf at Macy's Santaland or in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade as a Despicable Me minion. I was a homeschooling mom of seven, twins included . They all went on to be successful in high school and college. I drove a semi and have a current class A . My most recent job was transporting special needs students to and from school. I am currently employed by a family I have been working with for the last seven years and still work part time for them. The youngest, who was three when I started, is now eleven. While my CPR certification has expired, I was a an instructor in Chicago, many years ago. I am willing to get recertification upon request. I also worked as a Doula for at risk populations in Uptown Chicago. I love children of all ages, and feel very comfortable with any age child, from newborn to teen. I am also willing to assist in any facet of home management needed. I have a clean background a valid license and professional references. I am looking for a full or part time summer position and/or occasional babysitting. I have full clearances. I am a bus driver for the School District of Philadelphia, and have completed a background check with all state and federal clearances.
