Hello, my name is Alyssa and I am 28 years old. I have a bachelors in psychology and I just graduated with my teaching degree in Early Childhood. I have been working with school-aged children for 7 years. I worked at the YMCA for 5 years in the school-age childcare department. While working with the kids, I supervised them while they ate their snack, helped with homework, and did crafts with them. I am currently working in the New Bedford Public School System as a special education preschool teacher. I previously taught in Fall River Public Schools as a Special Education Teacher in a Kindergarten classroom! Not only do I have experience working with children in a formal setting, I also have experience working with younger children due to having the chance to babysit family members and family friends' children. Besides having my teaching license, I am also certified in OSHA, First Aid and CPR, along with having my babysitting certification assigned by American Red Cross.

Hi! I’m currently a college student majoring in Psychology with a minor in Education. Over the past few years, I’ve gained valuable experience working with children of various ages. I’ve spent two summers at a day camp working closely with kids aged 4–6, and prior to that, I worked in an elementary school aftercare program with children ages 5–10. Additionally, I’ve spent two summers at a sleepaway camp where I worked with teenagers, actively participating in their activities and contributing to a leadership development program.
