I started babysitting when I was 12 years old for neighborhood kids. Starting with newborn twins, and a family of five chlidren that ranged in age from newborn to ten years old. I stopped when I started my junior year in college and obtained a full time job. I also was very active in raising my niece from newborn up until this past year (I moved an hour away), and she just turned 8 years old. I am a trained baker/food prep worker so I am very willing to cook, clean, and of course bake with the kids! I love making cookies, cupcakes, reading, doing arts and crafts, and playing outside. I currently sit part time for a baby (6 months), but am still looking for more babysitting jobs.

I am a mother of one daughter and grandmother of two; I have worked as a professional nanny for many years after working as a legal assistant. I am CPR/First Aid/AED certified (a given,) have a squeaky-clean DMV/BCI check and a non-smoker. Infant care: bottle-feedings, solid foods - all down pat... I have a passion for the arts - Broadway show tunes, children love them! I focus on age-appropriate activities, have collected a wealth of craft project archives and I am well-versed in children's literature; I am a Play-Doh goddess, good for the little ones. I had been an honorary grandmother to a little girl and watched her one day a week from birth to kindergarten. I played with her both inside - playing board games/Legos/card games/Play-Doh, baked, did arts and crafts, watched Disney /educational videos and outside - going to the park,library, playground, children's museums, aquarium, beach. I have kept a daily journal for parents to enhance communication. I have had several dogs ( golden retrievers) and am pet-friendly. I have worked with children most of my life. I used to babysit for neighborhood children when I was growing up. I then went to college for Business Administration but also completed the requirements for teacher certification in Pre-K to Grade 2. I worked for several years with Head Start and then at a child development center (for more than 12 years) in several roles from teaching to administration.
