When I started a family of my own I was fortunate enough to stop working full time and stay home with my daughter, Maeve. When my nephew was born, my brother and sister-in-law hired me to be his nanny. I cared for him from the age of 6 weeks old until he went to preschool at the age of 3. I was able to have that experience two more times, with my brothers next son and my sisters second. It was lovely.
