Ever since I was a little kid, whenever I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up the answer was always a mom. Well 25 years later and that statement is still true! I love spending time with children, they truly are the best gift. I started working as a mother’s helper when I was just 10 years old and since then I have been a babysitter, a part-time nanny, a teachers assistant and church nursery worker. When a child is in my care I truly treat them as if they were my own, their safety and well-being is my top priority. While I love to play alongside them, I am extremely responsible and know how to make sure they are properly cared for.

My life has been all about kids! I've been an educator for 10 years, half of which were for students with special needs and autism. I've taught across multiple subject areas, including English as a Second Language and an intensive reading course. Kids have helped me become more enthusiastic, energetic and joyful. They have shown me the importance of creativity and silliness in the learning process. I am comfortable with crying, throw up, and dirty diapers. I'm definitely not afraid to play dress up, build Lego mansions, or pull out my "best" dance moves to make a kiddo smile! I'm a believer of "work hard -play hard" and "rules are for a reason."

I have been watching children ages newborn-12 for the last 10 years. I am experienced with children with special needs, seeing as I have a younger brother with autism as well as I worked with an autistic child over the summer. I also am a frequent sitter for a few other families near me. I can do evenings, date nights, weekends, you name it, I can probably do it! I am also CPR and First-Aid certified, so I am ready to help with any situation that may arise. I can provide any references as needed. I am a senior at the University of South Carolina Upstate. I am able to assist with some housekeeping, pet care, homework help, errands, and even some meal preparation. You are responsible for the most important part of a family. They are to be protected, nurtured and cared for according to the parents guidelines.
