I started babysitting because of my little sister. My dad fell ill when I was just thirteen so I decided to take my sister under my wing. She had an undiagnosed learning disability at the time and the progress I could see I was making with her was too rewarding to quit. I wanted to help kids like I’ve helped her, so that’s what I did, and I love my job for that reason. I received trainings for emergency response protocol, domestic violence, suicide awareness, cpr/first aid, active shooters, overdosing, and natural disasters. After my 4 years, I decided I wanted to work in the field of psychology with children, especially early intervention. I have experience with all ages, and have a natural connection with kids in general. They are my passion. I believe there are no bad children. It is our responsibility to provide the appropriate guidance and positively teach them how to learn from failures, properly regulate emotions, and establish a healthy style of communication. We are preparing generations to come for successful independence in adulthood. I work a full time job with an HVAC distributing company Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm.
