I love children!! I have raised my two and now I’m blessed with four grandchildren. I previously had my own home day care and always helped in the church nursery. I now nanny/babysit evenings and weekends. I believe the sitter’s role is to care for and love the children as their own and to abide by the parent’s wishes and values. I am very family oriented, I grew up with two sets of families which meant always being surrounded by kids either my age, older or younger. As I got older I would help sit or always be the one appointed to look after the kids and I've loved it ever since. Other than watching kids since I was little I babysat a family members toddler for a few months while in between jobs. I also spent some time as a resident assistant and although elders and children are different I was required to clean up messes, have an ample amount of patience, stay on top of scheduling, perform under pressure as well as regulate emotions.
