I am currently attending East Tennessee State University, majoring in Elementary Education. I’m originally from Greeneville, Tennessee, where my passion for working with children first began. I’ve played soccer my entire life and was part of the Greeneville High School soccer program, which taught me the value of teamwork, discipline, and leadership—skills I now use every day when working with kids. I especially enjoy being active with children, whether it’s playing games, doing sports, or simply encouraging them to stay moving and engaged. During my junior year of high school, I began working in a local elementary school. That experience helped me quickly learn how to navigate different personalities and situations, and how to meet each child where they are with patience, creativity, and care. My senior year, I began working at the local YMCA in childcare and in the after-school program, which further grew my love for this field. I am CPR certified in both adult and pediatric care, and I’ve completed training in first aid, AED use, choking response for infants and older children, and identifying signs of child abuse. These experiences taught me the importance of safety, attentiveness, and compassion when working with children of all backgrounds. I believe working with children is more than just a job—it’s a calling God has placed on my heart. I truly believe that being a steady, loving presence in a child’s life reflects the love of Christ. It’s a responsibility I don’t take lightly. Caring for others’ children is a joy and a blessing, and I strive to be a light in every environment God places me in.

Hello, I am Kimberly. I am a preschool teacher, wife, mom, and nana. I have worked in early learning my entire adult life, including owning a state-licensed childcare in my home for many years. I moved from Southern Indiana to Telford, Tennessee, in March 2023 and absolutely love it here. I love dogs, but I am highly allergic to cats. I have a reliable car and a safe driving record. I am certified in CPR/First Aid by the state of Tennessee. I have also completed several hours of professional training in early childhood education and childcare. I am a preschool teacher in Johnson City, TN, but I am off for the summer for the month of June and through July 19, 2024. I go back to work on July 22, 2024. I am looking to do summer babysitting. Hello! My name is Nicole and I am 32 years old. I currently work as a Lead Teacher in an Infant classroom for Early Head Start. I previously worked as a Lead Preschool Teacher / Assistant Director for a childcare center. I was also previously a Teacher’s Assistant for a Head Start program, which is a Preschool so I worked exclusively with ages 3-5. I have worked consistently with children for the past 5 years but do have varied (on/off) experience working with children for many years. With that being said, I have experience from birth up to school-aged children. My job duties as a Lead Teacher consist of supervising and interacting with our classroom of 8 children, developing and using developmentally-appropriate practices, making lesson plans, and much more! With Head Start, our behavioral plan is Conscious Discipline so I focus heavily on this principle and very much so believe in their principles. On a personal level, I also like using time out (for those children it works for), alone time (for those children it works for), redirection, positive reinforcement, and generally having as much fun as we can! I have two degrees in Business, a Bachelors in Human Resources and a Masters in Marketing. I decided to switch my career path to teaching, though. I graduated with my Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education and have been working with Head Start since 2015. I love working with kids and enjoy their positivity and imaginations! I am looking to be an occasional, regular, or one time sitter. I work Monday through Friday until 4:30 PM and am available any time outside of those hours.
