I am looking for an opportunity to spend my time taking care of kids while I wait to enlist in the USAF! I have a lot of free time, and a lot of love to give back to my community before I leave. I’ve had a strong creative outlet my whole life, and could guarantee your kiddos would be kept busy all day with odds and ends from a long list of the hobbies I’ve had. I was raised in a rural area with three little brothers where the great outdoors were our playground, and was brought up through classical Christian education. Very big on the importance of learning, if your kid’s got curiosity I’m happy to encourage it. I got a knack for out-loud reading and entertaining all the endless questions and conversations. On the other hand, I have a lot of experience playing the waiting game at nap-time, and personally love a quiet parallel playtime as well. Both my First Aid and CPR certifications were completed recently within the last few months, and though I don’t have any true professional experience as a sitter, I’ve spent my whole life alongside children, and babysat for relatives, neighbors, and Sunday schools for years. I have the most experience with younger kids, but I love babies!!!!!!!! I’m a steady learner; teach me once and I can stick to your needed routine while also keeping things new and individual. You can count on me to keep you updated, ask the questions that matter, and operate on your preferred level of communication. I’ll start off with the care I can provide for your kiddos, and with everything else you need, you just fill in the rest!

While I am new to babysitting, I do have experience as a preschool assistant teacher where I facilitate child led learning during the school year and summer program. I am very well versed in coming up with tons of activities and crafts to keep kids entertained and engaged (especially without screen time!). Most of my childcare experience has been with ages 4-7, but I do have multiple younger siblings and cousins I have babysat in the past that were older! I’ve worked with a wide range of personalities, and I find it easy to adapt to the children and their interests as needed- I’m also very patient with them too. I’m really passionate about helping kids learn, and helping kids in general, and I am so grateful for any opportunity to gain experience in the field as I work towards my long term career goals. I can help with cooking, tidying up, homework, and laundry as well if needed! I have my own car too, and I am certified in infant and adult First Aid and CPR as well. I also have been fingerprinted and background checked as I have worked in the preschool setting consistently the past few years.

Care bio Hello! Let me tell you a little about myself. My husband, our 5 year old daughter, pets and I live in middle TN. We enjoy being active outside, hiking, making music and doing yoga. We are a rescue family and volunteer with a local dog rescue, pet sit and have rescues of our own. I have been working with children, as a nanny and a teacher, for over 19 years. I grew up teaching Sunday school and VBS then began babysitting in 5th grade. In 2008, I began my journey as a nanny. In 2012, I began teaching preschool. In 2016, I started teaching piano lessons. Teaching and working with children is my passion. I am trained in various teaching styles and tailor my approach to each child’s specific needs. Montessori, Reggio Emilia and Waldorf teaching styles are my favorites. I am CPR / First Aid / AED certified. I have a safe, reliable car.
