I have between 5-6 years of paid childcare experience but I actually have 7-8 years of experience taking care of children that’s aren’t my family’s! I first started volunteering in my church nursery at 12, and at 15 was hired on as a paid childcare employee. While doing that Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings I also helped out Sunday evening in my church’s awanas program mentoring children and teaching them about God. When I graduated high school I got hired as a counselor at a summer Christian camp! I loved going on adventures with the little kids and playing games! When I got back home I started cosmetology school and became a part time nanny to a special needs boy. I took care of him and his 4 siblings for about 2 years until I graduated! Now I am a full time hairstylist and try to get back to see them as much as possible! Aside from doing hair I help my sister take care of her children on some evenings. I have twin nieces so I have lots of experience with twins! Recently I’ve noticed I miss working with children! My goal is to find a lifestyle where I can balance my hair career along with taking care of children and pouring my love and attention into them while giving their parents some much needed rest or time to work on their own career! I have experience with household chores and cooking. I am also good with dogs, I grew up with them all my life and now own two of my own! I also have training in first aid and CPR from when I was a camp counselor but my certification has since expired, however I am willing to get recertified if needed.
