Hi! My name is Lizette and I've been a sitter since high school! Occupation: I am currently a high school English teacher. I absolutely LOVE my job and have a passion for teaching. Previous Sittercity Jobs: In the summer of 2021, I was a full-time nanny for a 2-year-old boy. I watched him from 8-5:30 M-F. We went to the park every day, read, gardened, baked, made art, and played lots of baseball. I helped keep the home tidy and made sure to communicate with parents as needed. Summer of 2019, I watched a 10-month-old from 8-12pm. I was in charge of changing, entertainment, nap time, lunch, and breakfast occasionally. Personal Experience: I have two younger siblings who are twins and are eight. I’ve been helping my parents care for them since they were born! Outside of watching my siblings or cousins, I’ve also done date nights, and morning watch, and supervised game nights through a nanny agency in Austin. Through this agency, I also worked in various church nurseries, which allowed me to gain childcare experience with various ages. I have also worked at a YMCA summer camp as a counselor and child watch attendant so I know plenty of crafts if your kids like art. This job allowed me to work with kids from newborn to 12 years old. I enjoy playing outside, video games, and board games. I’m also a writer so my storytelling is pretty imaginative! I’m willing to put any type of safety/car seats in the back to ensure safety. Although I’m willing to drive, I will admit I would prefer driving short distances until your kids are comfortable with me. I want them to enjoy their time with me and feel safe always. I became a caregiver because coming from a large family , I personally understand the need for a good sitter for your loved ones. I normally nanny but also babysit. I enjoy being a sitter because I love to play with children and watch them grow as I stay with them. Hi I’m Michael I have about two years experience working with children in licensed facilities, I started working in Childcare working with children from the age of seven months up to pre-K. Working in childcare was one of the best jobs I’ve ever had but of course the pay rate in Childcare isn’t very great and being a full-time single father it wasn’t very sustainable. In addition to my experience in Childcare, I am currently working as a substitute teacher for grades pre-K to 12th grade but I’m looking for something a little more consistent that I can work on a daily basis Monday through Friday.
