I would have assigned a group of 50 kids to watch over for and it was my full responsibility till parents came to pick them up. I am currently a substitute in Wylie ISD in Wylie Tx. I am a retired psychologist and worked with children throughout my 30 years of counseling. While this did not entail "caring" for children, it did require being able to talk to and understand them at a very deep level. I haven't babysat much since I was a teenager but I did quite a lot then. My experience with children has been to raise my own two who are now a paramedic and a public school teacher and I have been having my 3 grand children come visit with me on weekends from infancy to now. The eldest is 8 years old. I also was a girl scout leader for 10 years when the girls were 5 years old until they were 15.
