I’ve been babysitting and taking care of children for almost as long. Starting the summer of my 6th grade year (2006) I stayed with 2 boys ages 8&6. Since then, I’ve babysat/nannied for many families with multiple children (and animals). The last family I nannied for had a newborn who I had most of the day and then I had her 3 brothers when they were out of school. I believe kids should not sit in front of screens all day, so I try to get them to use their imaginations as much as possible. My mom taught Pre-K for 20+ years so I’m aware of things that kids need to do in development such as crawling before they walk, touching their toes with their opposite hand, and that they need to be able to do things at their pace, even if they make a mess, so they can learn.
