Aliyah K.

Hello, I'm Aliyah! I love children and would be honored to be considered! I can provide references (3) by request. I have worked at St. Andrews Children's Center and worked at Primrose School of Friendswood. I taught preschoolers aged three to four to write and recognize names and numbers, designed creative ways to decorate classroom "centers", worked with lead teacher to implement lesson plan, ensured classroom area was safe and free from hazards, and maintained written observations about childrens' personalities. I have babysat my niece and nephews for about 3 years now as well as several families from my school. They have ranged from ages 3 months to 15 years old. I love working with children and am always excited to see them. I am always willing to play games, watch their television shows, tutor them, or just have fun with them. I have also worked with several after-school programs at the YMCA and Boys and Girls club. There I tutored children as well as come up with physical activities after their homework. I have 13 years of professional childcare experience. Thank you again! I'm currently a nanny for a family but am available for weekends and date nights!

I am bilingual (Spanish & English). I graduated from University of Houston in 2018 with my BA in integrated communications. I have always worked hard and enjoyed helping others from volunteering to working at a day care at a country club, and camp counselor at a summer camp. Fun fact: I myself was a young camper there and I always wanted to be a counselor.. and luckily I got the chance! I have at least 10 years taking care of children for different families, ages or 4+ children. I am good at taking direction, detail orientated and organized with my own transportation and a flexible schedule. I am willing to work lots of hours helping prepare meals, running errands, bath time, laundry, light house cleaning, and bedtime. I will keep your kids busy, well entertained, and make them feel comfortable with their new babysitter. I am ready to start helping a family looking for a dependable energetic babysitter/nanny.

My personality can be described as fun-loving, caring, and trustworthy. Working with children brings me joy and allows me to make a positive impact on their lives. My experience with childcare began at the age of 11 when a neighbor asked me to watch his three boys (ages 3, 4, & 6) whenever necessary. During my free time, I enjoy activities such as baking, watching movies, and spending time outdoors. Above all else, my primary concern is ensuring that your children are safe and well-cared for. Some of my key skills include patience, empathy, and creativity.

Kids usually love me because I’m a responsible version of them, so you can bet we’ll be having a lot of “wear your helmet” and “no don’t touch that” fun. They’ve taught me things adults have trouble learning from each other, like listening and communicating. Their minds absorb things faster and they usually communicate their feelings well if you pay attention. They mimic everything they learn even if they aren’t aware of it so it’s wonderful watching them grow while teaching them right from wrong and really seeing the positive impact you’re making. Sort of like a big sister. I love relaxing and watching cartoons just as much as they do, but I love the feeling of teaching them something new, so I like to separate tv, school, and play time rather than just sitting them in front of a screen. I definitely use snacks and bike rides as motivation to learn/do chores when needed. My timeouts are called “silent seconds”, because we think about our actions in this house!

I have extensive experience caring for children with special needs, including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and sensory sensitivities. I am also comfortable caring for sick children, following parent instructions closely while maintaining a clean and supportive environment. In addition to daily care, I regularly assist with: • Homework help and school routines • Age-appropriate educational activities • Creative play and structured enrichment • Light meal preparation and tidying related to childcare I am a non-smoker, comfortable with pets, and have reliable transportation, allowing me to assist with school pick-ups, activities, and errands when needed. I am comfortable caring for up to two children at a time, ensuring each child receives attentive and individualized care. I am currently seeking a recurring or long-term position where I can build a consistent relationship with a family and become a trusted part of their child’s daily routine.
