After graduating college in May of 2017, I married and had my first son in 2018 and became a SAHM. When he turned 10 months old, we began nannying for an amazing family and stayed with them for the next 5 years until the child "aged out" into kindergarten. During my time there, I had my second son and continued to bring my children to their home to care for their child during the day, as well as driving him to and from his speech therapy appointments. My time spent with this family gave me experience working directly one on one with an autistic child and I found it incredibly rewarding to create a bond with him and watch his speech and developmental progress over the years. I learned how to do speech therapy practices alongside his therapist in order to implement them in the home and remain consistent. This was also my first experience potty training a child before my own- another milestone to celebrate when achieved. I started teaching preschool in 2023 and will continue to do so on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the school year (Sep-May). I am fully available on Mondays and Wednesdays, and my 4 year old is home with me on Fridays.
