Having a degree in early childhood, for the past twenty years, I have watched infants, toddlers, older children and twins. I find it rewarding to be involved in the toddler years with all the major learning and natural curiosity present during that age. In my previous childcare positions, the child and I have enjoyed visits to the library, park, and daily neighborhood walks. Walks always provide fun opportunities for observation of nature, squirrels, flowers, and outside activities. Keeping schedules and familiar routines has been a priority for me in working with young children. I believe it gives them a healthy sense of expectation and promotes security throughout their day.
