I made Vermont my new home in 2023 and began my journey here as a Community Mental Health aid at Farm and Wilderness camps. Since then, I have transitioned into a full-time role as a Behavioral Interventionist, in the Intensive Special Needs department, at CVU High School. I finished my undergrad degree with a BS in Health and Wellness Promotion, which has led me to an array of positions working with children and teens in both mental and physical health settings. Some of my favorite being in outdoor/backcountry education, adventure-based therapy, and mentorship. I'm beginning a Master of Social Work (MSW) program next year, continuing my mission of providing support to youth and their families. Additionally, I've accrued over a decade of experience in babysitting and nannying. I bring to the table a range of crisis-intervention skills, CPR certification (2023), and Wilderness First Aid training (2023), ensuring the safety and well-being of those I care for. I am so excited to connect with your family!

Hi! I'm Harriet, and I'll be moving back to Chicago this September after spending the past year in my hometown of Vermont. Before moving home, I lived in Chicago for two years and attended Lake Forest College, where I played lacrosse. Since returning to Vermont, I've been nannying full-time, and it's made me realize how much I genuinely love working with children. I'm looking for a wonderful family in Chicago to grow with as I make the move back. I'll be living in Wicker Park and will be completing my Graphic Design certification remotely while also beginning massage therapy school. My favorite part of nannying is building a real connection with both the kids and their family. I'm naturally goofy, playful, and energetic, and I love encouraging creativity, imagination, and lots of laughter. At the same time, I value being dependable, patient, and creating a safe, supportive environment where children feel comfortable being themselves. I truly enjoy becoming someone a family can count on, and I'd love to find a long-term position where I can be a positive part of your children's lives. I can't wait to meet a great family and start this exciting new chapter back in Chicago!

I graduated from St. Lawrence University in 2025, and worked for the past year as a medical assistant at a local OBGYN. I am excited to help out families with childcare this summer before starting nursing school in September. I babysat a bit during my freshman year of high school and was hired to provide childcare for Bolton town meeting day for four consecutive years. Most of my childcare experience however was through ski instructing! I was a ski instructor at Bolton Valley in 2020/2021, and worked with groups of children aged 5-10. I also volunteered as a tutor for children aged 9-12 during my last semester of college. I love working with children because of the enthusiasm they bring to life and their eagerness to learn and play! I worked as an outdoor hiking guide while attending college and would love to take kids outside on adventures. I am also CPR certified.

I am a Registered Behavior Technician with a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, bringing both clinical expertise and genuine warmth to my work with children. Over the past 5 years, I have worked with children on the autism spectrum across schools, homes, and clinical settings, giving me a well-rounded understanding of how to support kids in diverse environments and adapt to each child’s unique needs. In addition to my professional background, I have extensive experience nannying and babysitting, which has strengthened my ability to build genuine, trusting relationships with children of all ages and personalities. What sets me apart is my ability to connect with any child, regardless of their needs or temperament. I make it a priority to ensure every child feels valued, understood, and truly special during our time together. I take the time to learn each child’s individual interests and use that knowledge to create engaging, fun activities that also support their development and goals. Beyond childcare, I’m happy to help with pets and light housekeeping duties, making me a flexible, all-around support for busy families.

I come from a large and close knit family, where spending time with one another and helping each other is highly important. As the oldest sister & cousin of 13, I have 10+ years of experience taking care of children. This ranges from newborns to pre-teens. I have experience caring for up to 4 children, all under the age of 5, at one single time. Outside of my family, I have a total of 1 year experience working with young adults and adults with special needs. Mainly Asperger's and mental deficits as a result of a traumatic brain injury. I also have over 5+ years of experience watching dogs, cats, and even rabbits! I am comfortable with all breeds of dogs and can manage up to 3 large breed dogs at one time. I have my own vehicle, love to cook and bake (experience creating vegetarian, vegan & some gluten free meals), and can also assist with cleaning & organization. I love the outdoors and coming up with creative and fun things to not only entertain, but engage children! Able to provide references upon request!
