Salutations Everyone! My name is Christine Bree Wirthlin, but please call me Bree (like the cheese—just spelled differently!). I’m originally from North Carolina and moved to chase some big dreams and continue my education. I’m currently a graduate student at Antioch University, working toward my Master’s in Dance/Movement Therapy with a concentration in Couples and Family Therapy. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with double minors in Human Development & Family Science and Sociology—which basically means I really love learning how kids grow, think, feel, and play! I have lots of hands-on experience with kiddos, from tiny infants to energetic 13-year-olds. I spent about five years working with the Autism Society of North Carolina and I also worked for a Behavioral Health company as a Behavioral Technician , supporting children with diverse needs through structure, creativity, patience, and lots of encouragement. I currently work in Childwatch at the YMCA, where I help create a safe, fun space so parents can enjoy a workout or a little well-deserved self-care. I’m also the oldest of four girls, so babysitting has been part of my life for as long as I can remember! From bedtime routines and snack time to imaginative play and calming big emotions, I’m comfortable jumping into all parts of a child’s world.
