I’m Christarra McIntyre, a dedicated childcare professional with over a decade of experience working with children from infancy to school age. My journey began as a nanny for three children, and I later transitioned to a teaching role at Kindercare Learning Center, where I earned certifications in early childhood development, CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogens. Which I have recently renewed. In Tacoma, I spent six years coaching competitive cheerleading, which helped me foster teamwork and resilience in young athletes. While in Los Angeles, I balanced caring for three boys with supporting their musician father on tour, demonstrating my adaptability in dynamic environments. Moving to Australia enriched my experience as a live-in nanny, where I provided not just childcare, but also educational support and language instruction. Upon returning to the U.S., I cared for two boys, one of whom had specialized needs related to an eating disorder. This experience highlighted my ability to manage complex medical situations with compassion. My time at Kiddie Academy allowed me to further nurture preschool-aged children. The last four summers I have been with one family and the last three years I have worked weekly with another family. Most recently, I’ve provided backup care and date night services for over 6 families, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for every child. I’ve done many school pick-ups and have driven many children. I have also provided a lot of pet care. I have been babysitting ever since I was 12 years old. I wanted to give back for all the years that I had been taken care of. I took a specific course to become a babysitter and started to babysit my neighbors. I had heard about a course specifically for babysitting, so I took it. After that I was good to go to babysit the whole neighborhood. It worked out perfectly while I attended UC Davis. I graduated with two degrees in Dramatic Art and Design, and two minors in Chicano Studies and Education. I love to teach it and create new things. I am also a Spanish native speaker. I was born in a town near Mexico City. I am very interested in teaching kids what I have learned and also try to have fun with them. Every time I babysit I like to teach the kids something new. Hello Everyone, My name is Karen. I just completed my 11th year of teaching Special Education teacher for the NYC Board of Education. The last 4 of the 12 years I taught Art specifically 🎨. I worked primarily with students diagnosed with Autism but have experience babysitting/tutoring/nanny-ing children of all ages and abilities ranging from 1 to 16 years of age. I've taken a little pause on teaching this year to explore some exciting creative endeavors, as well as go on a fun adventure to the West Coast! I relocated to Seattle from Texas where I taught Pre Kindergarten in a public school as a certified teacher for 5 years. I also taught PreK in California and worked in various schools in Orange County, California. Other experience includes KinderCare preschool teacher where I worked with 2 year olds and infants and part time babysitting over the years for families with kiddos of all ages. As a certified teacher I have many hours of training and experience using positive discipline focused on redirection and respecting relationships. I have many fur babies so pets are always a plus. Hi, I'm Georgina! I am CPR & First Aid certified. I have 2 younger siblings who I took care of a lot and were with me for their summer break. I planned picnics and took them sight seeing. My brother is 14 and my sister is 19. I love kids and even spent a summer as a camp counsellor taking care of groups of 15 children ranging from 4-6, 8-10 and 12-13. I have a long list of games and arts and crafts activities to keep them entertained. A little more about me is that I speak three languages English, Twi and Ga (the last two are local Ghanian languages) and I love baking.
